A new development has emerged regarding the fire burning through two industrial workshops in Aigaleo, as the blaze has reignited due to highly flammable materials stored inside the buildings. According to the Fire Service, the fire broke out in the early morning hours and, due to the intense thermal load, the buildings have sustained severe structural damage.

For this reason, the Fire Service has announced a precautionary evacuation of all individuals located within a 400-meter radius of the burning buildings. The evacuation is being carried out with the assistance of the Hellenic Police (ELAS). At the scene, 35 firefighters are deployed with 11 vehicles, including a specialized articulated boom vehicle. The Municipality of Aigaleo is also providing support with water tankers. It has been noted that the Athens Arson Investigation Unit has been mobilized to look into the cause of the fire.
