PPC (Public Power Corporation), as Grand Sponsor of the Greek National Opera, is supporting the “Point Callas” exhibition — a unique visual and immersive experience dedicated to the iconic figure of Maria Callas — to be presented in the grounds of the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus from June 18 to 21, 2026.
PPC’s support for the “Point Callas” exhibition is part of its strategic partnership with the Greek National Opera, as well as its ongoing commitment to contemporary culture and artistic creation. In 2023, as a proud sponsor of the Callas Year, PPC actively supported major productions, initiatives, and events organized by the Greek National Opera to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Greece’s greatest soprano.
The “Point Callas” exhibition takes place on the occasion of the re-staging of the historic 1961 Medea at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, symbolically bringing back the image and voice of Maria Callas to this iconic archaeological site through a multidimensional artistic experience. Curated by internationally acclaimed Greek set designer Dionysis Fotopoulos, with contributions from visual artist and video designer Pantelis Makkas, the exhibition weaves a unique narrative of memory and art through photographic material, rare archival documents, video art, video installations, and sound installations inspired by the Greek National Opera’s historic production.
Set against the breathtaking natural backdrop of Epidaurus, audience members will have the opportunity to “travel back in time” and embark on a one-of-a-kind journey into the world of Maria Callas and the legendary 1961 Medea, as the legendary soprano’s voice once again “meets” the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus.
With an unwavering belief in the power of art to inspire, unite, and move people, PPC continues to support initiatives that highlight cultural heritage and bring audiences closer to landmark works and their creators. Through its partnerships with leading cultural institutions, PPC remains steadfastly #WithCulture, bringing energy to everything that shapes a better future.
The “Point Callas” exhibition will open to the public on Thursday, June 18 at 8:00 AM and will remain open through Sunday, June 21 until 8:00 PM.
