The time for accountability has come for the police officers who were in critical positions on the day of the murder of Kyriaki Griva. Today, Wednesday (19/11), the testimonies of the Emergency Response telephone operator and the guard at the Agioi Anargyroi police station are scheduled.
Kyriaki Griva murder: “The phrase ‘patrol car is not a taxi’ is not included in the indictment,” says the lawyer
The telephone operator, who that night told Kyriaki Griva that the patrol car is not a taxi, has already completed his testimony and was released with restrictive conditions requiring him to report to a police station twice a month. “The phrase ‘patrol car is not a taxi’ is not included in the indictment, it was an unfortunate phrase,” said his lawyer, Christos Karamanlis, adding that the officer did his duty and acted according to protocols.
Next, the guard from the police station who was in the police booth at the time of the 28-year-old woman’s murder will appear before the prosecutor.
Last week, the police officer who was on duty that fatal night had also testified and was released with restrictive conditions.
