Who is eligible for the €165 allowance
Beneficiaries of the €165 allowance include both insured and uninsured individuals who have received official certification from competent health committees. Specifically, the conditions that must be met are:
• Amputation of upper or lower limbs with disability percentage of at least 80%
• Lower limb paralysis with disability percentage of 80% and above
• Paraplegia, paraparesis, quadriplegia or quadriparesis with percentage of 80% and above
Additionally, prospective beneficiaries must not be hospitalized or residing in institutional facilities for a period exceeding three months. They must also not be receiving similar financial support from other state or private organizations. To receive the €165 allowance, interested parties must reside legally and permanently in Greek territory. Eligible categories include Greek citizens, nationals of European Union and European Economic Area member states, recognized refugees, as well as expatriate Greeks with appropriate residence permits.

Payment of the €165 allowance is permanently discontinued in case of the beneficiary’s death. Suspension of the benefit occurs when the beneficiary is absent from Greece for a period exceeding four months or when hospitalized or residing in institutional or welfare facilities for more than three months.
