The Ministry of Environment and Energy takes another step closer to accelerating residential energy upgrades with the signing of the 1st amendment to the Joint Ministerial Decision regarding the announcement of the “Save Energy 2025” Program. The new decision enables the implementation of more energy upgrade interventions, expanding benefits for even more households. It also updates the list of required documentation, moves the Electronic Building Identity (EBI) submission process to within 30 days after application approval, and extends the implementation timeline until May 31, 2026.

To date, approximately 55,000 applications have been submitted, while initial results will benefit more than 40,000 recipients, confirming strong demand for energy saving measures.
Save Energy 2025: Ministry boosts program budget
To meet high demand, the Ministry proceeded with substantial budget reinforcement for the Program — from €434 million to €924.269 million.
