The first lists of 102,508 beneficiaries approved for the “Change Heating System and Water Heaters” program have been published, along with 13,351 applicants whose applications are temporarily rejected, with the possibility to file an objection within seven days. The provisional results of beneficiaries included in the initiative were announced by the Ministry of Environment and Energy. At the same time, it is emphasized that more than 100,000 households receive approval, while vouchers are immediately activated, a fact that strengthens the green transition with a clear social focus, according to a relevant announcement from the ministry. Additional resources have been secured to fund all applicants who meet the formal criteria, as Deputy Energy Minister Nikos Tsafos informed Parliament.

Additionally, the ministry proceeded to publish the 1st final table of approved applications, where over 5,000 beneficiaries belong to vulnerable groups, confirming the social character of the program. With a total budget of 647,167,031 euros (including VAT) and increased subsidies for vulnerable households, the initiative promotes energy upgrading of homes, reduces heating costs for households and encourages the replacement of old systems with new generation solar water heaters. This is an initiative that practically confirms the ministry’s commitment to sustainable heating and hot water solutions throughout the country, from major urban centers to remote areas.
The ministry calls on citizens to stay informed about the progress of their application through the program’s platform and to select the appropriate supplier and equipment through the Supplier and Equipment Registries available electronically.
