The challenges and opportunities emerging for the handicraft sector and Northern Greece are highlighted by Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, in his social media post following his participation in the event celebrating 100 years of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Handicrafts.

Specifically, as Kyriakos Pierrakakis notes, “Northern Greece has the foundations, the people and the ideas to lead in the new era. I had the opportunity to confirm this yesterday, in meetings with Deputy Minister of Macedonia-Thrace Konstantinos Gkiouleka and with representatives of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Handicrafts.”

He adds: “At the event celebrating 100 years of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Handicrafts, we discussed the major changes, challenges and opportunities facing the handicraft sector in today’s era of significant technological transformation.
We are providing incentives and support tools for partnerships that will help small and medium enterprises grow, dramatically increasing their capabilities for securing funding and developing a strong export-oriented identity.”
