Communication expert Nikos Karachalios returns to the topic of party formation by Maria Karystianou. Specifically, in today’s (Tuesday, 11/11) radio interview on Alpha, he referenced the issue again, despite the fact that Maria Karystianou herself has already clarified through the Non paper column of iefimerida.gr that Nikos Karachalios was the one who proposed party formation to her, a proposal which she, as she emphasizes, rejected.
Specifically, Mr. Karachalios initially said in his radio interview: “July 24, the day celebrating the Republic. We appear in Chania, the prime minister’s homeland, with Mrs. Karystianou. We had 4,000 seated attendees, so there was planning and symbolism,” adding that “this was based on a pre-announcement by Mrs. Karystianou on Facebook.” “At that time I had called all national networks, there was agreement on what I would say and in what order. When the announcement didn’t happen, I learned of the denial from a Star associate. The next day we met and then 4 more times in online discussions,” continued Nikos Karachalios, speaking of “a family disagreement and I don’t want to expose her.”
Nikos Karachalios: There was planning and symbolism
“There was planning and symbolism. First, it was Republic Day. Second was Chania. Third was the prime minister’s homeland and fourth was at Chania port, because Mitsotakis would symbolically fall at the port since he had never gathered so many people there,” continued the communication expert, emphasizing that “the organizational work was done by an independent group, the political work in the last 15 days and specifically from July 11 onwards.”
He also argued that “I had announced the WAVE issue in at least 3 interviews on radio stations and small channels. If someone is new to politics and doesn’t sit down to read as much as they should. Here there’s a question of whether you know or don’t know or understand what your associates are saying. I wouldn’t be an advisor to prime ministers and political leaders if I wasn’t clear in what I say.”
The associates
At another point in his interview, Nikos Karachalios also referenced people whom Maria Karystianou consults and collaborates with: “One is the Pharmacy professor, Dimitris Kouvelas who is president of Breath of Democracy. They know each other with Mrs. Karystianou who had exchanged views about the movement, party…” The second, according to Mr. Karachalios, is Mrs. Karystianou’s lawyer, Maria Gratsia, and the third “is the person who answers journalists, he’s my friend, he’s Michalis Patsikas, he was with Mikis Theodorakis in Spitha and had played a leading role in the rallies against the North Macedonia Agreement.”
Subsequently, referring to what happened two Sundays ago, Nikos Karachalios said that “that morning e-tetradio calls and Mr. Patsikas says what is this and says good morning, I take it and write words starting with K among which was the word Good Morning and we respond to Maria’s call. What had she said? She called on citizens to self-organize.”
Nikos Karachalios: We played ping pong and WAVE spilled out because research had been done for it to emerge
He even revealed that “we played ping pong and WAVE spilled out because research had been done for it to emerge. The research hadn’t been done on behalf of Maria Karystianou. I sent questionnaires to polling companies in Greece, but was forced to resort to a foreign company to have data.”
“Today we have groups of 6 in 50 prefectures, the wave was ready and Maria Karystianou had helped. You can call Mr. Patsikas who made a video at Zappeion and talked about mama bee where Maria bee is, the mama of Tempe, our Maria,” Nikos Karachalios also mentioned and concluded: “In all my posts I show love and affection for someone entering the political clearing which is harsh. We must acknowledge her beginner’s start. The movement will always be ready for her, the sea will be protective, but outside the wave the space can drown you.”
