“Ithaca” in bookstores from November 24
As previously announced, the official book presentation will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Pallas Theater, at Voukourestiou 5, in central Athens.
Gutenberg Publications announced that circulation in bookstores will begin on Monday, November 24.
Earlier, Alexis Tsipras had posted a video from the printing house where the book is being printed, writing in the caption: “In a few days it will be in bookstores.”
The message behind the former prime minister’s book
A few days earlier, the former prime minister had read excerpts from the book in the recording video of the audiobook, saying: “I write this book because I believe that politics is the field where the vision for a just world is tested against reality.”
He also referred to battles that weren’t all victorious, making pointed remarks about the Right and conservative cynicism. “Ithaca” appears to signal a new phase of public interventions by Alexis Tsipras, who after his resignation from Parliament returns to the spotlight through the realm of books and dialogue.
