“Good morning Thessaloniki, good morning Greece. Today we honor those who said NO and soared above every fear. With wings of faith and honor, we continue to guard our homeland’s sky. Many happy returns, Greece,” said the pilot in an emotional moment on October 28th. Wing Commander Georgios Sotiriou performed precision exercises and spectacular maneuvers with his F-16 fighter jet over the parade area at the New Waterfront, while communicating via radio with President of the Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas.
The spectacular parade on Alexander the Great Avenue in Thessaloniki, in the presence of President of the Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, concluded shortly after 1:30 PM with the impressive aerial display by the “ZEUS” team.
