An alarm sounded on Wednesday afternoon (08.10.2025) at the Heraklion Fire Department, when a fire broke out in a complex of two rental apartments in the Lenta settlement.
According to creta24.gr, the fire started inside one of the apartments and quickly spread to the adjacent space, reaching a plot of land next to the building. The tenants managed to evacuate in time without being endangered, while the thick smoke mobilized local residents, who extinguished a large part of the fire before firefighters arrived.
