Kate Middleton wore her stiletto heels from Stuart Weitzman and walked with grace at RAF Coningsby base in Lincolnshire, naturally sparkling as befits a Princess of Wales. The wife of the heir to the throne, Prince William, was as always elegant in her ensemble, as the grey checked Bella Freud suit and Alexander McQueen blouse are an unbeatable combination. However, that wasn’t what stole the show. The princess tried and mastered, in her high heels, a flight simulator inside a Typhoon fighter jet. Thus, she experienced the adrenaline that essentially fuels pilots.

What users focused on, of course, was her exit, which became absolutely cinematic. Kate Middleton descended stairs backwards with the grace of Maya Plisetskaya and many of her fans were shocked by her balance and harmony of movement.

However, the Princess of Wales has a connection to RAF Coningsby, as in August 2023 she was appointed Honorary Air Commodore among other roles. She had not, however, visited the base until recently, therefore she approached the process with accumulated enthusiasm. She showed, as she always does, genuine interest in everything explained to her. In fact, she told young pilots that her son, Louis, wants to become a fighter pilot. However, she replied to him that this doesn’t happen without a lot of hard work, as well as training that takes years.
Kate Middleton also visited the base’s communal area, where personnel and families live. Naturally, she engaged with the children, didn’t fail to hug them, and even apologized for not appearing in a dress.
Kate Middleton is, of course, emotionally connected to the RAF as well. Her grandfather, Peter Middleton, served as a pilot during World War II. Additionally, her husband, Prince William, also served as a search and rescue pilot.
