“I will go until the end, I have the right and no one will take that away from me” stated Panos Routsi, who continues his hunger strike for the 18th day. It should be noted that his primary demand, the exhumation of the remains of his son, Denis Routsi, who lost his life in the deadly Tempi train disaster, has been accepted, however Panos Routsi is demanding DNA testing and toxicological examinations.

Panos Routsi on hunger strike: “When I say ‘until the end,’ I mean it”
Speaking on Thursday morning (2/10) on OPEN TV, Panos Routsi launched a new attack on the government, stating characteristically: “Don’t let the government dare go for my child’s exhumation without the parents and my own forensic doctor.” Panos Routsi demands that his requests for the exhumation and further investigation of his child’s remains be satisfied.
Regarding yesterday’s EKAV announcement, which stated that he “once again refused medical care,” Panos Routsi responded that “I didn’t refuse medical help, EKAV asked me if I needed anything and I said I was ‘fine.'”
Panos Routsi’s transfer to hotel
Yesterday, Wednesday (1/10), the transfer of Panos Routsi to a hotel was deemed necessary on the 17th day of his hunger strike. Since last Saturday, September 27, doctors have been concerned about his health condition. Panos Routsi is already showing signs of tachycardia, hypotension and hypoglycemic episodes, according to MEGA’s report, with doctors expressing their reservations about the action he is taking.
