“He has done amazing work in Greece,” Catsimatidis’ message on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ achievements
At an event coordinated by OHI Foundation Executive Director Mike Manatos, the prime minister was introduced by Greek American businessman John Catsimatidis, who initially reflected on his personal relationship with the Prime Minister’s father, the late Constantine Mitsotakis, and a concert with Frank Sinatra in Athens. “I was very close to the Prime Minister’s father, as well as his sister,” he said, recalling stories from the past, including the episode with Frank Sinatra in Athens, where as he said, “your father requested dinner for 30 people, but invited 300 of his best friends.” Referring to today’s Greece, he praised the country’s progress under Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ leadership: “I wanted to congratulate him because he has done amazing work in Greece. Even President Trump said yesterday that he has done tremendous work. Tourism is soaring, technology, agricultural production, renewable energy. You have a smart man who knows what he’s doing,” emphasized Mr. Catsimatidis, also referring to migration and national security issues. “Mr. Prime Minister, you are doing outstanding work. Your father would be very proud of you,” said Mr. Catsimatidis.
