Shocking details continue to emerge about the 62-year-old woman in Boeotia, who buried her mother in a stable next to her house and concealed her death to continue collecting her pension. As questions multiply around the case, the Prosecutor’s Office has ordered a preliminary investigation to determine whether homicide with possible intent was committed, and to establish if the fraud perpetrated against the State exceeds €120,000.
But what exactly made authorities realize something was wrong with the mother of the 62-year-old KEP director in Boeotia? According to reporting by the “Revelations” show on ANT1, police officers realized something was amiss with the 62-year-old’s mother from a photograph. Neighbors who had contacted police said they hadn’t seen the 62-year-old’s mother for years, prompting a police unit to visit her residence. According to information, when officers saw the photograph the 62-year-old showed them, they realized she was lying to them.
Specifically, according to sources, police saw this elderly woman and noticed that her age and name didn’t match, and with a photograph they found, they began asking around the village about who this woman was. They discovered the elderly woman was someone else’s mother and understood the fraud.

Boeotia: 62-year-old who buried her mother suspended from KEP director position
It should be noted that the 62-year-old from Boeotia was suspended from her director position at KEP yesterday, Tuesday. Specifically, the 62-year-old, who reportedly caused many problems at work and was frequently absent, was suspended by decision of the Mayor of Tanagra from her duties as KEP supervisor. Moreover, her colleagues accuse her of confrontational behavior and describe someone who frequently created tensions.
A characteristic example of her behavior can be seen in the incident between the 62-year-old and a Star journalist yesterday, Tuesday (23/09) morning. As soon as the journalist spotted her and approached with a microphone asking for statements about the case, the accused grabbed her hand, twisted it, and then threw the microphone to the ground. Wearing a mask and hood, she then said: “You will never put that in my mouth again, do you hear? Ask me whatever you want from a distance. You’re preventing me from getting out of the car.” Earlier, a prosecutor visited the site where the 62-year-old had buried her mother to conduct an inspection.
