A serious traffic accident occurred on Tuesday evening, September 23rd at Amerikis Square when a large-displacement motorcycle struck a woman crossing Patission Street in the direction towards Omonia. The traffic accident at Amerikis Square happened shortly after nine in the evening, and according to eyewitnesses, the woman, approximately 40 years old, was thrown into the air and suffered serious injuries, bleeding heavily. The area was cordoned off by police, while an ambulance from the National Emergency Medical Service (EKAB) arrived within minutes. The crew provided first aid and transported the injured woman to Gennimatas Hospital. The motorcycle rider was arrested and will face summary proceedings.
