The death of the 36-year-old woman, who was murdered by her 40-year-old husband on Friday morning at the entrance of the apartment building where the family lived in Volos in front of their four children, was caused by a chest injury inflicted by a sharp instrument (a grilling tool resembling a knife).
According to ERT’s report, this emerged from the forensic examination conducted today on the victim’s body at the Forensic Service of Thessaloniki, while it was also determined – according to information transmitted by the same source – that her body bears multiple other similar injuries.
The confessed murderer of the 36-year-old is being prosecuted for premeditated homicide against a victim of domestic violence. He was arrested on Saturday afternoon and is expected to give his testimony tomorrow Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor’s office has ordered an urgent and priority social investigation by the Social Protection Department of the Municipality of Volos for the couple’s minor children, in order to determine within the week where their custody will be assigned.
Femicide in Volos: “I did her good, that’s what she deserved,” the 40-year-old’s first words
Authorities characterize the 40-year-old perpetrator of the murder of the 36-year-old mother of four children as harsh and unrepentant. “I did her good… That’s what she deserved. She was cheating on me,” were the first words he reportedly said to the police officers who arrested him in an abandoned lot, 200 meters from his house. The 40-year-old was known to police authorities, convicted for drug-related cases and forgery. He is the same person who, two months ago, attempted to end his life in front of their family’s eyes, in their home.
