Addressing the question that concerns most people about whether there will be another heatwave, Giorgos Tsatrafyllias says there is a trend for a new warm invasion around August 6, but due to the long-term nature of the forecast, there is significant uncertainty in the prediction.
Giorgos Tsatrafyllias’ post:
When will it cool down? Will another heatwave come? How will August go?
Today is a difficult day with unbearable heat mainly in western Greece and extreme environmental flammability.
But what interests us all is when it will cool down, how much and for how long, and if we will have another heatwave!
On Sunday 27/7, the heat will begin to subside in western Greece, on Monday in the rest of the country, and from Tuesday throughout the week we will have normal July heat while limited instability returns.
Western Greece will have even more coolness with temperatures slightly below normal levels.
Regarding weather developments, there is a trend for a new warm invasion around 6/8, however there is still great uncertainty in the forecast.
Finally, long-term forecasts from 7 centers signal a hotter August compared to normal levels with a probability above 70%.
