Pavlos Marinakis, the government spokesperson, has issued an official statement responding to former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who accused the government of staging “inauguration celebrations” in connection with the extension of the Thessaloniki Metro to the Kalamaria district.
Deeds vs. empty promises
In his statement, the government spokesperson pointedly noted that “because Mr. Tsipras — the Prime Minister of ‘tarpaulins’ — remains unrepentant and, speaking today at a party meeting, had the audacity to accuse the government and Kyriakos Mitsotakis of staging ‘inauguration celebrations,’ we are sharing the following two photographs — one showing Mr. Tsipras’s infamous tarpaulins, and the other showing the extension of the state-of-the-art Thessaloniki Metro line to Kalamaria — so that every citizen can fully appreciate the scale of Mr. Tsipras’s hypocrisy.”
