A fatal road accident claimed the life of a 27-year-old motorcyclist on Tuesday evening in Koropi, leaving a 21-year-old female passenger injured. The crash occurred at approximately 7:20 PM on Athens–Sounio Avenue, near the intersection with Kekropos Street.
According to information available so far, the motorcycle was traveling toward Sounio while the car it collided with was heading in the opposite direction, toward Athens. Both riders suffered injuries in the violent impact. The 27-year-old motorcyclist was transported to Asklepieio Hospital in Voula, where he was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.
Koropi road accident: 34-year-old female driver arrested
The 21-year-old passenger, a Greek national, sustained injuries and was transferred to “G. Gennimatas” General Hospital for treatment. The 34-year-old driver of the car, an Albanian national, was arrested in connection with the accident, while traffic police continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the collision.
