A 48-year-old police officer has been arrested in the Thessaloniki area following allegations of domestic violence combined with threats and harassment, repeated rape, sexual abuse, and violation of personal data privacy. The complaint was filed by a 51-year-old Greek woman who reportedly had a past relationship with the suspect. Officers from the Domestic Violence Response Unit of Ampelokipi–Menemeni, under the Thessaloniki Police Directorate, subsequently carried out the arrest.

Thessaloniki: What the 51-year-old woman’s complaint states
According to the woman’s complaint, the 48-year-old used physical force to coerce her into sexual acts on four separate occasions during the month of July, all without her consent. He also secretly filmed her during various moments of their shared time together, again without her knowledge or consent, and additionally threatened and verbally abused her.
The arrested officer will be brought before the competent Public Prosecutor.
