Two British tourists in Skiathos came to blows with a taxi driver in a violent altercation — one of the tourists was a minor. According to information from gegonota.news, the tourists had boarded the taxi to travel to their accommodation on the island. What began as a verbal argument with the driver over opening the rear window quickly escalated into a physical fight, leaving the taxi driver with a head wound requiring stitches and the underage British tourist with minor injuries.
Police officers from the Skiathos Police Station arrived at the scene promptly and restrained the two tourists, while the taxi driver was transported to the island’s Health Centre, where he received stitches to his head. The two British nationals were arrested on charges of grievous bodily harm, while the taxi driver was charged with causing bodily harm to a vulnerable individual. The father of one of the British tourists was also arrested for neglect of supervision of a minor. The Skiathos Police Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the incident.
