On Saturday afternoon, June 6th, police at “Ioannis Daskalogiannis” Chania Airport arrested a 56-year-old German citizen on charges of espionage, as he was allegedly photographing the military area.

According to information, the 56-year-old was spotted by police officers from Chania Airport Police Station photographing the military area, as well as military aircraft and their movements.
The 56-year-old now faces justice.
