Significant assistance will be provided to over 1.2 million individuals and approximately 350,000 businesses through the Ministry of Finance’s arrangement regarding debts to the state incurred before 2023. Specifically, as stated by Omiros Tsapalos, spokesperson for the ministry, speaking on ERTnews 105.8 radio, from mid-July the platform will be activated to allow state debtors to use the 72-installment payment arrangement. This regulation applies to debts to the state incurred before 2023. Previously, there were 12 installments, which have now been increased sixfold.

Omiros Tsapalos: The “Renovate” program is coming
Additionally, Omiros Tsapalos referred to the “Renovate” program for properties built before 1990. As he emphasized, the government will subsidize the program with 500 million euros, and the platform will be activated either next week or at the beginning of the following week.
Renovation subsidies of up to €36,000 will be provided. Properties must be up to 120 square meters. Beneficiaries will be single individuals with income up to €25,000, married couples up to €35,000, while income increases by €5,000 for each dependent child. According to the spokesperson, consideration will be given to including engineer fees in the subsidy cost.
