Ready to meet Volodymyr Zelensky, either in Ukraine or Belarus, declared the president of the latter, Alexander Lukashenko, with Kyiv having warned that Russia is preparing a new attack through Belarusian territory. “If Zelensky wants to discuss something, ask for advice or anything else, he can do it. We are open,” Lukashenko stated.
Lukashenko: Declares readiness for talks
“I am ready to meet him anywhere – in Ukraine or Belarus – and discuss the problems of Belarus-Ukraine relations,” added the Belarusian president. At the same time, he denied that his country plans to get involved in the war, unless “aggression is committed against Belarusian territory.”

Kyiv rejects the proposal
The Ukrainian president stated that Kyiv is ready to take “preventive measures” against Russia and Belarus due to potential military attacks. “Belarus leadership must remain vigilant and understand that there will be consequences if aggressive measures are taken against Ukraine or our people,” Zelensky emphasized during his visit to Slavutych.
Kyiv, however, rejected the meeting proposal. “Since 2022 it has been obvious to everyone that this man’s words mean nothing and we must watch his actions,” said Zelensky’s adviser, Dmytro Lytvyn.
