A remarkable act of generosity and solidarity was carried out by a female farmer from Veria, who donated an ambulance to the city’s General Hospital, sparking emotion and positive reactions. Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis called the woman personally to thank her for her commendable initiative and express his deep appreciation for the donation.
In a video posted by the minister on his social media, the moment of the ambulance handover is captured, delivered by the donor’s lawyer in his presence, as the woman chose to keep her identity private. Taking the phone in his hands, Mr. Georgiadis thanked the woman personally. “I am deeply moved by what you have done, you are helping the Hospital tremendously, you are helping the National Health System,” the Health Minister said characteristically.

“One of the most touching moments of today was when I received the ambulance donated to us by a poor female farmer from her modest means for our secondary transfers. She wanted to maintain her anonymity, so she was represented by her lawyer, but I asked to speak with her on the phone to give her a big thank you.”
