The weather remains unsettled today in several regions of the country, with local rainfall, scattered thunderstorms and strong winds, while temperatures are expected to reach up to 27 degrees Celsius. According to the National Meteorological Service, today, Wednesday, May 20th, temperatures will show a slight increase in mainland areas. In the eastern mainland regions, the mercury will reach 26 to 27 degrees Celsius, in other areas 24 to 25 degrees, while in the island regions it will range from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius.
Winds will blow from northwesterly directions with intensity 4 to 6 Beaufort, while locally in open seas they will reach even 7 Beaufort.
In eastern Macedonia, Thrace, eastern Central Greece, Evia and the Sporades, there will be cloud cover with rain or showers and scattered thunderstorms with gradual improvement. In the rest of the country, few clouds temporarily increased with local rainfall or brief showers in mountainous mainland areas during midday-afternoon.

Weather: Almost clear. During midday and afternoon hours in mainland mountainous areas, clouds will develop and local showers may occur.
Winds: Northwestern 4 to 5 and in the Ionian 6 and locally 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 12 to 25 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus the minimum will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.
THESSALY, EASTERN CENTRAL GREECE, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: In eastern Central Greece, Evia and the Sporades, during the early morning hours, cloud cover with rain or showers and scattered thunderstorms. The phenomena will quickly stop and the weather will improve. In other areas, few clouds, temporarily during midday hours, mainly in mountainous areas increased.
Winds: Northwestern 3 to 5 and in coastal areas locally 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 13 to 27 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Sparse clouds locally denser during mainly morning hours, when there is a possibility of few local showers.
Winds: Western northwestern 4 to 6 and in the eastern areas locally 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 15 to 23 degrees Celsius.
EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE
Weather: Cloud cover locally increased until midday with possibility of local rainfall.
Winds: From northern directions 5 to 6 and locally 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 16 to 25 degrees Celsius.
ATTICA
Weather: Few clouds temporarily increased mainly during early morning hours.
Winds: Northwestern 3 to 5 Beaufort and from the afternoon southerly directions 2 to 4 Beaufort.
