The vessel Ocean Link, which was conducting fiber optic cable laying operations, was harassed by a Turkish gunboat at a distance of approximately 7 nautical miles east of Astypalea. The Turkish side warned the vessel that it was operating outside its jurisdiction, prompting a response from the Greek frigate Adrias that was in the area.
