Under heavy security measures, three men were brought to the courts of the former Evelpidon School on Thursday afternoon, May 7th. They were arrested on charges of murdering Georgios Moschouri (“Thamnakias”) in April 2025 in Chalandri. The three suspects are additionally charged with an explosion at a business in Nea Erythraia in August 2024, as well as personal data violations (surveillance with cameras of a potential new target) in July 2024.

Timeline of Georgios Moschouri’s murder in April 2025
Georgios Moschouri, who was executed with a Kalashnikov on a main street in Chalandri in April 2025, was one of the biggest and most notorious names in the Greek mafia and was known by the alias “Thamnakias”.
On April 24, 2025, the victim was leaving a medical center in Chalandri when two individuals approached him, shot him, and disappeared. Georgios Moschouri, who had repeatedly been of interest to the Extortion Department, had previously survived assassination attempts. The executioners’ plan was carried out in broad daylight, as they waited for their victim to exit the clinic, approached him, and opened fire with a Kalashnikov, with most bullets hitting the victim in the head.
From the murder scene, authorities collected 20 shell casings, which were sent to forensic laboratories. Immediately after, the perpetrators vanished, while shortly later the Fire Department received calls about burning cars. According to information, the perpetrators had stolen one of the two vehicles.
