A near tragedy occurred in Spili Rethymno, yesterday morning, when a 2-year-old child was hit by a vehicle. Specifically, according to flashnews.gr, a child just 2 years old escaped his family’s attention and suddenly ran out of the house yard, heading toward the road.
At that moment, a vehicle driven by a 68-year-old man was passing through the area and hit the 2-year-old child, injuring him fortunately only lightly. The 2-year-old child was transferred as a precautionary measure to the pediatric clinic of PAGNI hospital and is in good health.
The 68-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested.
