Zoi Konstantopoulou is in Larissa for the start of the main trial regarding the Tempi tragedy. The leader of Course of Freedom arrived at the trial venue accompanied by her father, Nikos Konstantopoulos. Earlier, tensions escalated in the courtroom as Ms. Konstantopoulou criticized the space management, stating that “you advertised there was a courtroom so that no one could fit.”
It’s worth noting that the trial did not begin smoothly, as the presiding judge requested the departure of journalists. Ms. Konstantopoulou demanded that media coverage be allowed inside the courtroom, seeking greater transparency in the proceedings.
Moreover, the tension in the courtroom continued with Nikos Konstantopoulos addressing the judges, characteristically saying: “We cannot even sit in this courtroom, ensure the conditions for a fair trial.” Meanwhile, Zoi Konstantopoulou asked them pointedly: “Will you judge under these conditions?” The situation led to a suspension of proceedings for approximately 10 minutes to restore proper conditions in the courtroom.
