A 23-year-old motorcyclist has been caught in the traffic police’s net, after seeking online fame by posting videos of dangerous stunts and excessive speeds on roads in Attica. The case was uncovered following an investigation by the Special Information Analysis and Social Media Unit of the Attica Traffic Police Directorate, which monitors social media for traffic violations and dangerous driving behaviors.

In the controversial video, which was posted on a popular social media platform, the young man can be seen performing wheelies for at least 20 seconds and reaching excessive speeds on main roads in Attica, creating serious danger for other drivers.
Identified through social media
Police officers analyzed the audiovisual material and, through a combination of evidence, managed to identify the 23-year-old as the motorcycle rider. Criminal charges have been filed against him for dangerous driving and incitement to commit crimes, as the videos are considered to encourage similar dangerous behaviors.
The case file has been submitted to the competent prosecutor.
