“I have nothing to fear. I will present evidence about this fabricated case in the coming days,” emphasized the president of GSEE (General Confederation of Greek Workers), Giannis Panagopoulos, in a new statement. “On the contrary, they should be afraid when this bubble bursts and its creator and all those who willingly and unwillingly use it, tarnishing reputations and assassinating characters,” he added.
Significant findings emerged earlier from the audit conducted by the Anti-Money Laundering Authority on the asset declaration of the GSEE president and other individuals involved in the case regarding the management of vocational training funds.
The thorough audit by the Authority for the five-year period 2020-2025 found that Mr. Panagopoulos had not declared income amounting to 3.2 million euros. According to authoritative sources, Mr. Panagopoulos was not required to submit asset declarations, but he was obligated to file wealth status statements as president of GSEE institutions, through which the disputed amounts allegedly circulated.
Giannis Panagopoulos: Full statement
“Once again, the person who brutally violated through leaks all the principles and rules of the rule of law before the audited parties – like myself – even received the audit report, struck again with new leaks.
With false and baseless evidence, legalistic constructions and much more, which my lawyers and Justice will address, he attempts to fabricate a case ‘for communications purposes’ with his ‘tin soldiers’.
I have nothing to fear.
I will present evidence about this fabricated case in the coming days.
On the contrary, they should be afraid when this bubble bursts and its creator and all those who willingly and unwillingly use it, tarnishing reputations and assassinating characters,” states Giannis Panagopoulos’ declaration.
