The use of more advanced missiles in the coming days for retaliatory attacks against Israel and the US was announced by a high-ranking official of the Revolutionary Guards Corps. Specifically, he stated that Iran is using older generation missiles dating back to 2010 in its strikes and warned that the method of attacks will change in the coming days, with more modern missiles being deployed.

“Iran has not used new generation missiles”
More specifically, as reported by FARS news agency, the official noted that given the expected prolonged duration of the war, “the missiles used so far in this round of attacks mainly belong to the years 2012, 2013 and 2014, and Iran has not yet used new generation missiles, except in rare cases.”
The official claimed that in the coming days, a “new type of attack” is expected to be implemented that will use “advanced and less frequently used long-range missiles”. Describing the dynamics of the country’s defense industry, the official noted that the design and production cycle in missile assembly lines has always been active and the manufacturing process of various missile systems continues simultaneously and continuously.
Israel: “We neutralized over 60% of Iran’s ballistic missile launchers”
Meanwhile, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Eyal Zamir, noted that to date, Israeli Air Force pilots have carried out 2,500 attacks with over 6,000 munitions. He also mentioned that within 24 hours, Israeli pilots opened the path to Tehran.
Indeed, he stated last night that, “After successfully completing the surprise attack phase, during which we established our air superiority and neutralized the ballistic missile network, we are now moving to the next phase of the operation.” “In this phase, we continue dismantling the (Iranian) regime and its military capabilities. We have other surprises in reserve and I have no intention of revealing them,” he added.
According to Zamir, Israel has destroyed over 60% of Iran’s ballistic missile launchers and 80% of its anti-aircraft systems. Since the start of the American-Israeli operation in Iran on February 28, the Israeli Air Force has launched 2,500 strikes and used more than 6,000 munitions, he claimed. “We neutralized and destroyed over 60% of the ballistic missile launchers” of Iran, “destroyed 80% of the anti-aircraft defense systems and achieved almost complete air superiority in Iranian airspace,” he assured.
