It should be noted that the girl’s father has been in Germany for the past few weeks to provide information to authorities about his daughter. In fact, arrangements are being made for him to meet 16-year-old Laura, and if this happens, it will take place in the presence of a social worker.
Timeline of 16-year-old Laura’s disappearance
Laura’s traces had been lost since January 8 in Rio, Achaia. Since then, her mobile phone signal was detected on February 9 in Berlin, while German authorities had been very close to tracking the minor for the past two weeks. According to information from police sources, 16-year-old Laura was found in a house and is in good health.
Until now, it has not been revealed who was hosting or helping Laura.
From the first moment of her disappearance, police authorities leaned toward the scenario that 16-year-old Laura had left for abroad, most likely to Germany. Video footage that came to light recorded the 16-year-old – in the first hours of her disappearance – entering alone a travel agency in the Omonoia area and purchasing a ticket to Frankfurt, departing the same day.
As it emerged, on the day the 16-year-old left Rio, she arrived by taxi in Athens, specifically in Goudi, near the Children’s Hospital, bought a plane ticket to Frankfurt using her passport, and as everything indicates, flew to Germany, specifically to Hamburg where she had lived with her parents before coming to Greece.
