The United States and Russia will restore direct communications at the military level. The US military announced that Washington and Moscow agreed on Thursday to resume high-level dialogue between military authorities, following talks in Abu Dhabi, a move that could signal an attempt at even more substantial normalization of relations between the United States and Russia, Reuters reports.
The United States suspended military communications with Moscow shortly before Russia invaded Ukraine.
The conflict, which began in 2022, is the bloodiest war in Europe since World War II and the largest confrontation between Moscow and the West since the depths of the Cold War.
