Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in a video posted on social media, addressed today’s wage increases that private sector employees saw in their pay statements due to tax reductions.
“I am very well aware of the difficulties that households face due to high costs and I know well that no single relief measure is enough,” he emphasized, commenting on today’s increases, which are due to the budget and the provision for tax reductions.

According to Mr. Mitsotakis, the increases add up to as much as two monthly salaries per year under certain conditions, depending on the salary scale, age and family status, as the government’s goal is to provide concrete support to Greek families.
In the video, the prime minister also refers to the relevant excerpt from his speech at the Thessaloniki International Fair, where he had announced the reduction of tax rates by two percentage points.
“We promised it and we delivered,” he concluded.
