The driver of a vehicle was injured on Friday morning, January 23rd, after causing damage to two parked cars on Cyprus Avenue at the intersection with Vryoulon Street in Byron. The circumstances of the traffic accident have not been determined, however it is certain that the man lost control of his vehicle. According to reports, he initially crashed into a parked car on the right side of the road, causing his vehicle to lift onto two wheels and overturn, eventually landing on and damaging another car that was parked on the left side.

To rescue the driver, five firefighters with two vehicles were required, while an ambulance was called since he was injured, although he was standing after being freed from the wreckage and was transported to the hospital. Police also closed the road and took statements from witnesses to determine how the accident occurred. However, it was reported on SKAI television that the driver “kept pressing the gas pedal”. A preliminary investigation is being conducted into the incident.
