The President, adopting a poker face, responded with “no comment” to that specific question. However, it is clear that he will target Europeans if there is no agreement regarding the Arctic territory. In fact, as reported by Sky News, Trump told NBC News that he plans to impose “100%” tariffs on European countries that support Greenland remaining part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Moreover, he attempted to lecture European countries, saying that their priority should be peace in Ukraine: “Europe needs to focus on the war with Russia and Ukraine, because, frankly, you see the outcome. That’s what Europe needs to focus on – not Greenland.”
