The amount of €1.37 million was paid on Thursday, January 15, to accounts related to rent refunds for 6,722 beneficiaries who provided their IBAN or made appropriate modifications to their declarations from Saturday, December 13, through Tuesday, December 30. According to the update, a recalculation of the rent refund amount was performed, based on the decision of the Deputy Ministers of National Economy and Finance, George Kotsiras and Thanos Petralia, following a recommendation from the Greek Tax Authority Governor, George Pitsilis (A. 1199/2025). This provides for a special procedure of supplements and corrections for the payment of the benefit or any additional entitled amount arising in relation to payments made on 28/11/2025 and 30/12/2025.
According to the data:
* 385 beneficiaries provided an IBAN account,
* 392 beneficiaries submitted initial declarations after 12/12/2025,
* 2.5 thousand beneficiaries added expenses for primary or student housing and
The remaining beneficiaries corrected the data in table 6 of E1 for rent expenses (landlords, annual rent, lease declaration number, utility number, etc.). Of these, 2.5 thousand beneficiaries also participated in both previous payments on 28/11/2025 or 30/12/2025.
Including new beneficiaries, 27 thousand beneficiaries remain without an IBAN account. The recalculation of the rent refund amount is made for the total annual rent paid in tax year 2024 (for primary and/or student housing) and is performed automatically based on the new declaration data. An essential prerequisite for completing the payment is declaring a valid IBAN account of the beneficiary on the myAADE digital portal, under Registry & Communication > IBAN Account Declaration or through the myAADEapp in Contact Details > IBAN.
