Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky categorically denied Moscow’s claims, characterizing them as “lies.” In his statements, he said that Russia is trying to undermine the progress that, he claimed, has been made in peace talks between Ukraine and the United States.
Zelensky also warned that Russia appears to be preparing the ground for new attacks, this time targeting Ukrainian government buildings in Kyiv, further intensifying the climate of tension.
Russia: No reports of injuries or damage to critical infrastructure at Putin’s residence
Earlier, the Russian side, through Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, had claimed that Ukraine attempted to strike the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region, launching a massive attack with unmanned aircraft. According to Lavrov, the attack occurred in the early morning hours of December 29th.
The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that Moscow will not leave this action unanswered, noting that Russia’s negotiating stance will be reconsidered following the attack on the presidential residence.
According to Russian claims, all drones were successfully intercepted, with no reports of injuries or damage to critical infrastructure.
