The first installment of the heating allowance for the season will be paid before the end of 2025. Specifically, as announced, it will be deposited on Tuesday, December 23. This is the first of three payments, which includes both the allowance payment and fuel purchases that cover invoices up to November 30, 2025, for those who completed their applications by December 5, 2025. The allowance is tax-free and non-seizeable. Outstanding debts to the state do not result in offset deductions.

The allowance amount ranges from 100 to 800 euros. For regions where cold weather hits hard and temperatures drop below zero Celsius, it can reach up to 1,200 euros.
Heating allowance: Purchase dates
The dates for fuel purchases were predetermined. Heating oil from October 15, 2025, natural gas, electricity, and other heating systems from October 1, 2025, and firewood or pellets (biomass) from June 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. The second installment is scheduled for payment by May 29, 2026, covering fuel or thermal energy purchases made from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. For firewood and pellets, receipts must be issued by April 15, 2026, and declared no later than April 30, 2026.
The third and final payment applies exclusively to beneficiaries using natural gas or district heating and will be made by July 31, 2026, covering consumption from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
