Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has received a peace plan draft from the United States, according to a statement from his office. According to SkyNews, Zelensky expects to discuss diplomatic possibilities with Donald Trump in the coming days. The announcement comes after extensive reports about a “secret” peace plan negotiated between the US and Russia.
Zelensky: “We support all substantive proposals that can bring real peace”
Zelensky’s office stated that the President “agreed to work on the points” of the plan after today’s meeting, according to a post on X and reports from British media. “Ukraine has been fighting for peace from the first seconds of the Russian invasion and we support all substantive proposals that can bring real peace,” the statement said.
“We support President Trump’s proposals from the beginning of the year to end the bloodshed. We are ready even now to work constructively with the American side and our partners in Europe and the world, so that the result is peace,” the announcement concludes.
