A tragic death befell 36-year-old Russian businessman Alexei Dolgikh, known for his investments in cryptocurrencies, when the Lamborghini Urus he was driving overturned and burst into flames in the early hours of Thursday in Moscow. According to police, Dolgikh was driving at speeds exceeding 150 km/h on the international highway of the Russian capital, accompanied by three friends.

As cameras captured, the vehicle lost control on a turn, crashed into protective barriers and overturned, while within seconds it was engulfed in flames. Passenger Ivan Soloviev also died in the accident, while the two other passengers, 21-year-old Nikita Tezikov and 22-year-old Kirill Mokhalov, are hospitalized in critical condition at Botkin Hospital with multiple fractures and serious injuries.
Footage from the scene shows the ultra-luxury SUV overturned and burning, with ruble banknotes scattered across the roadway. Authorities estimate that excessive speed was the primary cause of the accident, while prosecutors have taken over the full investigation of the case.

Dolgikh, whose wealth is estimated at millions of dollars, had previously drawn attention from Russian authorities, as he had been placed on banks’ “black list” on money laundering charges. In fact, according to Russian media, he had been recorded 586 times for traffic violations, mainly for speeding, since purchasing the Lamborghini 15 months ago.

The same car had also been connected to a shooting incident last September outside a luxury restaurant in Moscow, when a man using it drew a weapon and fired into the air. Dolgikh had then voluntarily presented himself to police, denying any involvement, and no charges were filed against him.
The 36-year-old is the second Russian crypto investor to lose his life under tragic circumstances in recent weeks, a fact that has caused a sensation in Russian media.
