Sadness has gripped Brazil following news of the death of 31-year-old influencer Barbara Yankafski, who had become known as the “Human Barbie” due to the 27 plastic surgeries she had undergone, investing over £42,000 to resemble the iconic doll. Yankafski was found dead in a residence in São Paulo, with police calling the death “suspicious” and awaiting autopsy results, according to the Mirror. Emergency services rushed to the scene last weekend, but were unable to revive her.
It’s worth noting that her death occurred just days after news of the death of 30-year-old Brazilian influencer Fernanda Oliveira da Silva, known as Fernanda Maroca, who was found dead at her home in Lago Verde.
The influencer had injured her eye on the day she died
Reports indicate that a friend of the 31-year-old was with her on the day of the incident and left the house shortly before the fatal event. According to her statement, Yankafski had injured her eye earlier that same day.

Despite her strong presence on social media platforms, her last Instagram post was made on October 1st, while on TikTok she hadn’t posted since September 7th.
