Former US President Bill Clinton appeared on Sunday (02/11) with a bandage on his nose at the finish line of the New York Marathon. Photographers captured the 79-year-old embracing his daughter Chelsea at the marathon finish line, who had participated in the race. However, he appeared with a mysterious injury, as his nose was covered with a bandage. It’s noted that Clinton was accompanied by his wife, Hillary. According to Fox News, his health condition has drawn attention, as the former US president’s health problems date back two decades.
Bill Clinton: The former president’s extensive medical history
It should be recalled that Bill Clinton underwent successful quadruple bypass surgery in 2004, after doctors found he had nearly 100% blockage in some of his arteries. At that time, ABC News reported that doctors said Clinton narrowly avoided a serious heart attack. The following year, in 2005, he suffered a serious lung problem, adding another severe episode to his medical history. Clinton’s health continued to be monitored in subsequent years. In 2021, the former president was hospitalized for a urinary tract infection that spread into his bloodstream. He recovered after several days of treatment and later left the hospital in good condition. Additionally, in 2022, he faced another health issue when he contracted COVID-19. The infection was characterized as mild, but nonetheless renewed concerns about his overall health condition, given his history of cardiac problems.

New concerns about Clinton’s health trajectory
More recently, in August 2025, Clinton was seen leaving an airport accompanied by people carrying what appeared to be medical equipment, reportedly a defibrillator, sparking new health concerns. Photos showed someone walking next to Bill and Hillary Clinton, carrying the device as the couple exited the airport. Sunday’s images showed the former president in good spirits as he hugged his daughter at the finish line and cheered her on.
