After being stripped of his royal titles and privileges, Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor appears to be preparing for a fresh start away from Britain. According to the Daily Mail, the 65-year-old duke may settle in a luxury villa worth £10 million on the fortified estate of the royal family in Abu Dhabi.
This move comes after his eviction from the Royal Lodge, the legendary 30-room residence in Windsor where he had lived since 2003.

Prince Andrew: The new “royal” residence at Sea Palace
The impressive property is located in the Sea Palace complex, a heavily guarded waterfront estate next to the United Arab Emirates navy headquarters.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, current president of the Emirates and Andrew’s former schoolmate at Gordonstoun School, reportedly offered him the opportunity to use the villa after Queen Elizabeth II’s death. The property includes six bedrooms, a home cinema, indoor pool, and private gym, offering the prince a luxurious yet discreet life away from the public spotlight.
From Royal Lodge to Gulf exile for Prince Andrew
The Sea Palace, built in the 18th century as a watchtower for protection against sea raiders, had been temporarily granted to Andrew in 2010 as well. At that time, Buckingham Palace clarified it was not a “gift” but a use concession by invitation.
Author Andrew Lownie, in his book “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,” comments that the new residence is “ideal for Andrew”: “He will be happy in a place where the media is controlled, where he is treated as a senior member of the royal family and can live without unwanted attention.”
Prince Andrew’s friendship with Sheikh Mohamed and the Epstein scandal
Andrew’s long-standing friendship with Sheikh Mohamed (MBZ) appears to pave the way for his “new life” in the Middle East. The prince had begun visiting Abu Dhabi since 2001, when he served as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment — a position he was forced to resign from in 2011 due to his friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
During those visits, he also met his then-partner, businesswoman Amanda Staveley, who — according to reports — had rejected his marriage proposal.
