Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky sent their separate messages after their White House meeting under the “shadow” of Tomahawk missiles, with the US president noting “it’s time for the killings to stop” and the Ukrainian president characterizing their tête-à-tête as “productive.”
Trump: I told Zelensky and Putin it’s time for the killings to stop – Let them stop where they are, history will judge the winner
Donald Trump, after his meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, sent a message via TruthSocial that it’s time to stop the war in Ukraine and reach an agreement. “The meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine was very interesting and friendly, but I told him, as I also told President Putin, that it’s time to stop the killings and make a deal” the American president initially states in his message.
Donald Trump then notes: “Enough blood has been spilled, with borders determined by war and courage. They must stop where they are. Let both claim victory, let History decide. No more shots fired, no more Death, no more massive and unbearable amounts of money being spent. This is a war that would never have started if I were President. Thousands of people are being slaughtered every week – NO MORE, GO HOME TO YOUR FAMILIES IN PEACE!” It should be noted that the US president did not make statements to press representatives after the end of his meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart.
