A World Health Organization (WHO) team came under attack in Ukraine on Tuesday (15/10) while escorting a UN convoy. Despite the attack, the team successfully delivered medical supplies to the city of Bilozerka, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on X today.
Ukraine: WHO team becomes target of attack
Tedros explained that two World Food Programme (WFP) trucks were damaged in the incident, while reiterating his call to stop attacks against humanitarian aid workers.

Earlier, Kherson Governor Oleksandr Prokudin had noted that the UN convoy carrying humanitarian aid was targeted by Russian attacks using drones and artillery fire, emphasizing that it was a miracle there were no casualties.
