Sky News Australia journalist Sharri Markson was called upon to report the breaking news about the release of the first seven hostages by Hamas on Monday morning as part of Trump’s Gaza agreement. She became emotional and barely holding back her tears said: “This is the most incredible breaking news I have ever reported,” Markson said.

“The seven hostages who were in Gaza’s tunnels for the past two years, 738 days, are now in Red Cross vehicles, en route to the IDF, to the safety of Israel, to be reunited with their loved ones. The seven hostages have now been handed over,” added the visibly moved journalist of Jewish descent. Markson then read out the names of the released hostages, which were subsequently confirmed by the Red Cross.
